Derek Jeter ‘Re2pect’ Commercial Celebrity Cameos

Derek Jeter is the center of attention for the 2014 Major League Baseball season and especially the All-Star Game.  Yesterday I wrote an article on the release of his new commercial.  Today I take a look at the cameos made by celebrities. The Jordan Brand paid homage to the legendary shortstop with a tribute commercial that plays on Jeter’s routine in the batter’s box.  Numerous athletes and celebrities make cameos as they tip their hat in honor of Jeter.  Here are the celebrities who are featured in the Re2pect commercial (listed in order of appearance):

Here is the entire Derek Jeter “Re2pect” commercial from start to finish:

We can all be thankful for Derek Jeter and the heart and soul he has put into the game of baseball.  If you see any other cameos that I missed, please leave them in the comments below.  I’ll be happy to add them to the list.  #Res2pect

  1. The two guys sitting in the car…is the driver Rev Run? It looks like him but I’m not sure. And the guy in the passenger seat with the bucket hat looks really familiar too, but I can’t place him.

    • Travis Coverston says:

I’m pretty sure the driver is not Rev Run. He is too young and Rev wouldn’t dress that way. I’m surprised they didn’t put Russell Simmons in the commercial though. I don’t know about the passenger either. I couldn’t find anything about who they are so my best guess is they are just regular Yankee fans like the regular Red Sox fans at the bar.
